"Just bought this a few weeks ago and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new VCR or just a DVD recorder. For the price, the value is outstanding and far exceeds expectations. When it is running, it is extremely quiet and you barely notice a DVD or tape playing."

DVDs are incredible Date: January 2, 2009
Pros: Inexpensive, Compact, Convenient
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, Poor documentation

"Pros: 1. DVD quailty using an HDMI cable to upconvert to 1080p on our 50in Plasma looks perfect. 2. Near silent operation 3. copied DVD from VHS also upconverts. 4. Very affordable

Cons: 1. Manual is vague. 2. know way to tell that its actually upconverting to 1080p. 3. no sleep timer. 4. if you set the TVs sleep timer and are watching a VHS when the tape rewinds it starts over and turns the tv back on. 5. Firmware updates are not there. 6. sometimes the remote and or panel become non responsive, you have to power off the unit by unplugging to reset."

"This product is amazing. I am addicted to Panasonic quality anyway, having used a Panasonic VCR for several years with no repairs necessary - but I have really enjoyed using this new VCR to DVD recorder. I had some old VCR tapes of family events that I have converted to DVD's. I have shared them with family members and received comments - like - "this is the best gift I have ever received" and these DVD's are "priceless". I heartily recommend this product."
