"There is a reason its a shaver. This thing cuts extreamly close to skin. feels very smooth afterwards. however, it does not trim hair, even though it has a trimmer built in.
I had a big beard, and used the trimmer to cut down my beard to a lower size.....didn't work. i used scissors to cut all the way down to my skin, then used the shaver. works perfectly as a shaver so make sure you have short facial hair first. otherwise you'll need something else. this reminds me to shave more often than usual.
and the cleaner does the job. i like how it gets ALL my hair trimmings out of the foils so its really clean before every use. the time it takes to clean is a little long (4.5 hours if charging at the same time, 3.5 hours if not charging at the same time) but at least it's thorough.
Although, all the comparisons and shave times are based on a 3 minute shave.....it takes me closer to 5 or 6 to shave cause not all hair is cut on the first pass....need to make several."
